Sandy Get away

Waking up to the sound of waves whispering through the windows, the sun slowly
Creeping through also but not knowing whether to get out of bed or not? That’s the best part. :D

Couta rocks is amazing. Set on the NW coast of tassie. The 4.5 hour drive from Launceston is well worth it. Once you get past Burnie your relaxed and all the worries are left behind.
Being able to relax, breathe that sea air and see the waves. There’s just something about it.

I love wandering through the little tracks towards to beach that are filled with different textures and tones, just makes me want to bottle it and take it home with me. One thing about beach houses is that when they aren’t over cluttered with things they are simply beautiful. Drift wood, Rocks/Pebbles, sand, Different grasses, weathered wood, I just love it.

Here are some little snaps about the place, J

Loves of Launceston

A casual evening, slight breeze, the sound of kiddies laughter, sitting down at royal park enjoying some fish and chips with this fantastic view.
This would have to be one of my favorite things about Launceston. The different textures that all come together making it a beautiful place to sit and relax.

Vintage simplicity

Just a few more of favourite images that i've found. I'm in love with this vintage ornate mirror. The fact that its oversized creates this grandeur feeling and its very dominating in an interior means you wouldn't have to have alot of other furnishing. Simple chair? throw rug? scatter cushions?

White wash floor boards, cow hide rug. I love the simplicity of this bathroom. Because the bath is on a separate level it gives the room the 2 zones without having walls. Having a white neutral scheme makes everything else in the room pop.

cheers,

Country Bliss

What a beautiful day for boxing day! Sun, gentle breeze and 27degrees. Sipping coffee in the sun.
While enjoying great coffee and looking at the Farm style panel door next to me.

Dressed in a crisp shade of white, up against a wall of corrugated iron, slightly distressed which adds all the character and painted in a metallic latte shade. That just has that slight glisten in the sun.

Starts to get me thinking on how beautiful it would be to have to feel in a bathroom.

Claw foot bath, big gold ornate frame, a grounding Aveda Soy candle(cinnamon & clove), soft Egyptian cotton towels. What a way to escape and relax. All that would be needed would be a wonderful view over some green fields or some water.

I also hope everyone had a enjoyable Christmas day and are enjoying there boxing day as much as myself.
cheers

Miss Madame Brussels - Melbourne

While I was in Melbourne on my last trip to go exploring, I got told to go and venture towards Madame Brussels.
A little sceptic about what I was going to find, knowing the only thing I new that was involved was Jansz Bubbles! So off I headed and Wow. Was I surprised! I had a ball. Soon as i jumped out of the lift. there was green turf, Vintage lawn mowers, dainty little tables & chairs, lattice work and the feeling that I had walked back in time.

Of course my choice of refreshment would have to be the one and only Jansz that I had been searching for soon as i landed :) The sun pouring in on the outside patio over looking the city, blue sky and bubbles what could anyone else possibly want! I could sit here chatting and describing away but really if you get the chance you should take a time warp and go visit :D

Court Yard Vintage

Okay first of all, very big apology for the lack of posts. Internet troubles and work has been like bedlam. that explains the lack of time to get my head in the write place to type out a post. Not stopping me finding great photos to file away ready to post up :)

While I was happily sitting away at "Still water" last Saturday having some me time indulging in new mags that had been delivered the day before! its like Chrissy every month with subscriptions :D ... I stumbled across this amazing little courtyard which I would be more than happy to have!

I'm loving the terracotta pots that look slightly weathered giving them more character. Having the Turquoise tone in the background and the white pebbles makes every thing pop. Also what a quirky little touch by adding the suitcases. Ideal to perch your little backside on or load your little pile of mags, grab a coffee, wine or whatever tickles your fancy and escape for a good few hours worth of "me time"

I'm hoping everyone is getting ready for Santa :D

Cheers

A romantic escape - Piermont

So about a year ago i got to enjoy the pleasure of piermont retreat.
Nestled 2km out of Swansea Tas, this amazing estate is set on 240ha.

They day wasn't very nice when i was there but prior to checking in I stopped off in swansea on the beach and enjoyed a hand made picnic. yummo cheese's, tomato and basil bruschetta, glass of savvy b with the sand and the sun. However when we checked into Piermont thats when the weather changed and the wind and hail started pouring down.
Even though the weather was nasty didn't stop me enjoying the spa overlooking the ocean. beautiful view may I say.

The rooms were amazing with polished floorbards, high cielings, very simple and quiet coastal with a slight french feel in certain places.
I would recommend to anyone.

Taken Angel

Okay this post has nothing to do with interior design or homewares whatsoever.
But yesterday was a friends birthday, she was taken to early from us and now is an angel watching down.
Sam Knott you are deeply missed, especially that smile that lights up the room and peoples lives.

Love & miss you
